Moroor specifies the fine for not renewing License after its expiry period
The General Directorate of Traffic (Moroor) in Saudi Arabia has warned citizens and residents against delaying the renewal of a driver's license after the 60 day renewal period has expired.
This warning came in response from the official Saudi Moroor Twitter account, to a question from a citizen, asking, "My driving license has expired, is there any fee for delaying in renewal of it?
- The General Administration of Moroor responded it in a tweet stating, “Not renewing the license on time, after the expiry of the 60-day period, a fine of 100 riyals will be imposed on you for each year of renewal.” Similar : 60 days without a fine after the expiry of Istimara
- The General Directorate of Traffic has highlighted the requirements and method for renewing the annual driver's license.

Deadline for renewal of Istimara :
Saudi Moroor revealed the date for renewing the Istimara which does not have an expiry date, with the vehicle's position determine from the examination procedures.
- This came in response from Moroor to an inquiry, asking, “I have a question regarding the renewal of Istimara, is it every year? Is the technical examination required every year? Because I checked it last year and my form does not have an expiration date, but I received a message that it expired this month.” Recommend : New istimara fee to be linked with fuel consumption of the vehicle
- The Traffic department responded it stating, If you driving license has no expiration date, it is sufficient to renew in Absher.
- Regarding technical examination Moroor explained that, “The traffic system obliges all motorists to conduct a periodic technical examination annually, except for new private vehicles, which are examined after three years of being licensed to drive for the first time.” Follow Saudi Expatriates on Google News
