Saudi Arabia announces new Travel restrictions related to Corona virus, effective from 9th February 2022
The Ministry of Interior in Saudi Arabia announced new travel restrictions, requirements for departures from and arrivals from the Kingdom, which will come into force from 1 AM in the morning on Wednesday, 9th February 2022 (7/8/1443).
For Saudi citizens, it is required to take the third (booster) dose of the Corona vaccine to leave the Kingdom, for those all who have been 3 months from receiving the second dose, added the Ministry.
- The Ministry explained that this excludes the age groups who are below 16 years of age, or the exempted groups, according to the status appears in the Tawakkalna application. Trending : Final Exit procedure for a worker who is outside the Kingdom and did not return after his vacation
- The Ministry of Interior stated that all those coming to the Kingdom, including Saudi citizens, regardless of their vaccination status are required to submit a negative result of PCR test from an approved PCR examination center, or of an approved rapid antigen test (RAT) for the Corona virus within 48 hours of the date of departure to or entry into the Kingdom.
- There will be exception for those who are below 8 years of age, taking into account the regulations of countries of origin related to testing procedures for children.
- The Interior Ministry also confirmed that Saudi citizens who tested positive with Covid-19 are allowed to enter the Kingdom, after the below period has passed without the need for a re-test.

2. Ten days from the date of taking the positive sample of covid-19 for those who did not complete receiving the approved vaccine doses in the Kingdom.
