Cancellation of Immunization status checks to enter the Two Holy Mosques - Ministry of Hajj and Umrah
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia scrapped the status check of immunization for people entering the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in Madina, starting Thursday, 10th March 2022. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Pinterest
The Ministry clarified the most important developments in implementing the decision to lift the precautionary measures in the Makkah's Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque in Madina.
- The ministry explained that the most important of these developments include canceling prayer permits in the Grand Mosque and permits to visit the Prophet, while continuing to issue permits to perform Umrah and visit the Rawdah in Prophet's Mosque. - The ministry also announced canceling the application of social distancing measures in the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, and continuing to adhere to wearing a mask while present in the Two Holy Mosques.
- The developments also include canceling the requirement to submit a negative result of an approved PCR test for abroad pilgrims, canceling the verification of the Immune status for the visitors of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque for all guests of Rahman. Cancellation of the requirement of Immunization data to get Umrah permit :
- Canceling the requirement to register immunization data to obtain an Umrah permit for those coming from Outside the Kingdom, and abolishing the requirement of institutional quarantine and home quarantine for pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom.
