Is there any possibility of converting Saudi Visit Visa into Domestic Worker visa? Jawazat clarifies
The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia restated that the visitor visa cannot be converted into a domestic worker visa, and the domestic workers will be dropped from the system after 6 months of the expired visa. Join Saudi Expatriates Telegram channel
This came in response from Jawazat on a Twitter on the possibility of converting visitor visa into a domestic worker, in an inquiry the visitor asked, Can I convert a visit visa into a domestic worker visa?
- To which Jawazat through its official Twitter responded and said, Peace be upon you, the instructions do not allow you to convert a visit visa into a domestic worker visa, we are pleased with you.
Domestic Workers will automatically dropped from system after 6 months of their visa expiry :
- Earlier, Jawazat stated that domestic workers are automatically dropped from the system by exit and not returned to Kingdom, after 6 months of their visa validity expires. Or by communicating through Tawasul service of Absher platform, after 30 days from the date of entry into force, and the expiry date of the visa.
Traveling using National Identity of Saudi Citizens or GCC Citizens is temporarily suspended :
- Regarding Saudi and GCC citizens, Jawazat clarified that travel to and from the Kingdom with the national identity has been temporarily suspended, only passports can be used for travel for now.
Required validity on Passport to travel out of the Kingdom:
- The Jawazat also explained that the validity of passport must be not less than 3 months for traveling within Arab countries and 6 months for the rest of the countries.
