King Salman and Crown Prince donate 50 million Riyals to Ehsan national platform for Charity work
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud made a generous donation of 30 million Saudi Riyals for charitable and non-profit works through the 'Ehsan' national platform launched on Friday by Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) as an integrated technology portal for managing donations. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense also made a donation of 20 million Saudi Riyals to the national campaign for charitable work platform, which is being held for the second year in a row.
- This comes within the framework of the wise leadership's great interest in supporting charitable work, as an extension of its keenness to encourage the values of giving and motivate male and female citizens and resident, to enhance social solidarity in this blessed month of Ramadan. - Within the first 3 hours of its launch, the Ehsan charitable platform announced that it has received over 262 million riyals, with an increase of 50 million riyals over the donations received in the last year Ramadan, which reached to 1 billion 745 million riyals in total.
- Ehsan charitable platform explained that the second national campaign for charitable work will continue to receive donations from individuals, companies, banks, donors, wealthy people through the platform's application and website (ehsan.sa), including on the beneficiaries call center on 8001247000.
- The success of the Ehsan platform has achieved due to the continuous efforts of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to develop non-profit sector, raise its efficiency and increase its level of reliability through a solid digital structure that works as per high governance that contributes to achieving the noble goals and lofty proposes of Saudi Vision and goals in maximizing the impact of charitable sector. - Ehsan platform is monitored by a supervisory committee consisting of 12 government agencies, and by a legal committee headed by advisor in the Royal Court, member of the Council of Senior Scholars Sheikh Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Mutlaq, which has earned its platform its reliability and societal demand for its charitable opportunities.
