Madina Al-Munawarrah municipality launches first Fast charging service for Electric cars


The Municipality of Madina region in Saudi Arabia launched the first fast charging service for electric cars in the region, at the intersection of Sultana Road with Khalid bin Al Waleed Road in its first phase. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Twitter







The aim of the new charging service station is encourage Saudi citizens and resident expatriates to use electric energy, reduce carbon emissions and achieve environmental compliance by using electricity. See Also : Saudi Arabia to allocate 5% of parking lots for electric cars

- Authorities stated that they would operate in compliance with safety requirements, specifications and international standards. The device was supplied as a Tesla Wall connector, with a current of 6 to 32 amperes and a voltage of 220 volts and it will be able to charge the electric car in a maximum period of 8 hours.

- This is the first time in Madina that this system has been introduced for electric cars. It is reported that this service is being prepared and launched in 7 different locations, including 3 locations in central area, Uhud Avenue, Airport Road, Al-Abbas bin Ubadah Walak and Omar bin Al-Khattab Road.
