Visit visa holder can perform Umrah after booking permit - Ministry of Hajj and Umrah
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia has clarified that the visit visa holders can perform Umrah rituals after booking a permit for it through Eatmarna application. The last date for Umrah for those coming from abroad is 30th Shawwal 1443. Join Saudi Expatriates on Telegram
This came in response from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah on an inquiry from One of the resident expatriate who asked that, his mother is currently with him on a visit visa, so can she perform Umrah.
- To which the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah stated that, Yes, it is possible to perform Umrah and an effective visa is required to register in the Eatmarna application and to issue a permit to perform Umrah. Trending : Extension of visit visa must be before its expiry date - Jawazat
- Earlier this, the Ministry clarified that visit visa holder is not allowed to perform the Hajj rituals and that only who holds a visa specifically for Hajj or those who resides in the Kingdom with permit can perform Hajj pilgrimage.
- The Ministry also explained that non-vaccinated people were allowed to pray in the Two Holy Mosques and to issue Umrah permit from Eatmarna, they must not be infected or had contact with the corona infected person and the permits can be issued through Eatmarna and Tawakkalna applications.
- Regarding children, the Ministry said that children can enter the Grand Mosque accompanied by a parent to pray, while for Umrah the minimum age for issuing Umrah permit is 5 years with a condition that they are not infected or in contact with corona infected person.
