Assaulting a Security officer while performing his duty during Hajj requires criminal accountability
The Public Prosecution in Saudi Arabia confirmed that following the instructions and directions issued from the security men effectively contributes to make the best use of services provided to pilgrims. Like and Follow Saudi Expatriates on Facebook
The Public Prosecution through its official Twitter account added that, this avoids the consequences of criminal accountability involving violating the criminally protected interests in this regard.
- The Prosecution continued and said, It is prohibited to deliberately assault a security officer while he is performing his duties, or to intentionally damage his official vehicle or any other equipment he uses. Trending : Electricity can be disconnected from customer in 2 cases in Saudi Arabia
- Earlier this, the Public Prosecution stated that the residencies of pilgrims are subject to the highest standards of safety and security and are surrounded by strict penal protection, against any risks or harmful practices that may arise in this aspect.
- The Prosecution clarified that penal protection for the safety and security of the homes and headquarters of pilgrims and any of the following actions are prohibited.
* Deception or fraud in the provision of fire protection requirements in establishments.
* Deception or fraud from engineering offices in safety plans. Read : 10,000 riyals fine on those who attempt Hajj without permit
* Cheating, fraud or negligence in the maintenance of safety equipment in the facility as per the technical or organizational regulations for that or what is recommended by manufacturer.
* Importing, selling or installing safety systems and equipment that do not confirm to technical regulations or standards approved internationally or in the Kingdom.
* Re-using the facility or the part of it that was suspended due to the presence of serious violation, without removing this violation. See Also : Government agencies are not obligate to provide health insurance to their workers
- The penalty for violating the above prohibitions is imprisonment for up to 6 months and a fine of up to 300,000 riyals.
