Saudi Arabia opens its Airspace for all Air carriers that meet the requirements of overflying
The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in Saudi Arabia announced the opening of Kingdom's airspace for all air carriers that meet the requirements of the GACA to cross the airspace. See Also : Passengers to be compensated from Airlines for lost, damage or delay of luggage
The GACA in its statement said, This comes in line within the framework of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's keenness to fulfill its obligations under the 1944 Chicago Convention, which requires non-discrimination between Civil aircraft used in international air navigation and to complement the efforts aimed at consolidating the Kingdom's position as a global platform.
- Connecting the 3 continents and in order to enhance international air connectivity, the GACA announces that it has been decided to open the Kingdom's airspace to all air carriers that meet the authority's requirements to cross the airspace.
