Saudi Arabia reminds of the penalties of Human Trafficking, which includes 1 million riyals fine and 15 years Imprisonment
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and the Public Prosecution renewed the reminder of the forms of penalties of trafficking in persons in the kingdom and the penalty for it is imprisonment of up to 15 years and a fine of 1 million riyals. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Pinterest
The Kingdom has made great efforts in combating these crimes based on the provision of Islamic Sharia said Turki Al-Muqibel, the head of the Trafficking in Person Committee at the Public Prosecution, while speaking in Al-Youm program on Al-Ekhbariya channel.

- Al-Muqabil stated that the punishment for those responsible for such crimes does not count with the consent of the victim, highlighting the integration and cooperation between the various authorities in Kingdom to combat this crime and punish the criminals.
- While the Human Resources said the trafficking in persons in the use, attachment, transportation, harboring or reception of person for the purpose of abuse. - The Ministry of Human Resources said the penalty for trafficking in persons in Saudi Arabia are
* Imprisonment for a period not more than 15 years.
* A fine of not more than 1 million riyals
* Or one of the above penalty or both.
- The Ministry indicated the cannels for receiving communications regarding trafficking in persons include the call center 1991, the application of the Ministry of Human Resources or the mail of the competent department at tip@hrsd.gov.sa
- The Attorney General Sheikh Saud Al-Muajab said that the Kingdom's leading role in protecting rights per its regulations and international treaties and charters approved by relevant agencies and confirmed by the provisions of the Basic Law of Governance. - On the occasion of the World Day against Trafficking in Persons, which falls on 30th July each year, the Attorney General said the Kingdom has legislated special regulations concerned with protecting interests in this regard.
