The Ministry of Human Resources clarifies on the penalties for employee's on Absent from Work
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in Saudi Arabia clarified the penalties for the worker's absent from work is subject to the agreement of the two parties (Employer and Worker) or what is mentioned in the company's internal regulations. Follow Saudi Expatriates on imo channel
The Ministry highlighted that medical insurance is one of the rights prescribed for the worker by the law.
- According to the Article 144 of Saudi Labor Law, "The employer must provide his worker with preventive and curative health care, taking into account what is provided by the Cooperative Health Insurance Law". - The came in light after a query received by the Ministry of Human Resources regarding the financial entitlement of a company or institution to punish an employee who is Absent From Work for several days financially.
Salary stabilization is not included in the Work Law :
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development said that the Work Law and Labor Law did not include salary fixation, as this matter is subject to what is stipulated in the internal regulations of the company.
- The Ministry said the wages and allowances is subject to the agreement of the Employer and Worker in the work contract or what is stipulated in the internal regulations of the facility. Read : Allowing cancellation of Huroob without consent of Employers on these conditions
- This came in response from the Ministry after a question received on its Twitter from a user, asking, "I work in a private sector company, I asked them to fix my salary and they refused. Can I file a complaint against them?".
