An expat worker imprisoned for 5 years for transferring illegals to Saudi Arabia for 15,000 riyals


The Public Prosecution in Saudi Arabia stated that the investigations by the Public Prosecution Office of Crimes Damaging Public Confidence resulted in the accusation of an expat of Arab nationality who transferred illegals from a neighboring country to Saudi Arabia. The investigation report revealed the before mentioned agreement with a transactional criminal organization to transfer the infiltrators from the country and secure their arrival to their destination in the Kingdom in return of a sum of money of 15,000 riyals, which stopped and referred to the competent court to demand legal penalties. - The initial ruling was issued that included evidence of what was assigned to him and sentenced him to imprisonment for 5 years, while the Public Prosecution Office submitted an objection to the ruling to demand a tougher penalty for the offender.





- The Prosecution highlighted the need for entry into Saudi Arabia to be through only regular procedures set by the country, in which all requests related to this matter were facilitated.

- The Prosecution pointed out the prohibition of transferring illegal to or within the Kingdom, or providing him with shelter, or any assistance, or service in any way, and these behaviors are among the major crimes that requires arrest and violate honor and honesty and are subject to severe criminal accountability.
