How long a foreign vehicle can stay in Saudi Arabia, ZATCA response
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) in Saudi Arabia said that the period of stay of a foreign vehicle in the Kingdom is 3 months, after which a fine of 20 riyals will be imposed for each day of delay. Recommend : Only small quantities of imported items allowed for individuals - ZATCA
This came in response from Ask Zakat Twitter account, in which a user asked that, his brother had bought a car from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and entered the Kingdom with it, How long it is allowed to stay and how much the fine for overstaying?
- Responding to the question, "Ask Zakat" explained that the legal period for the stay of a foreign vehicle is 3 months and when the period is exceeded, a fine of 20 riyals is imposed for each day of delay, not exceeding the 10% of the value of the vehicle. Trending : Penalty for non-disclosure of 60,000 riyals or above, while traveling to and from Saudi Arabia
- Earlier this, the Zakat, Tax and Customs authority stated that, to exit the vehicle from the Kingdom, its driver must carry the original and valid form and that the driver of the vehicle should be its owner or a valid external authorization required from the vehicle owner to the vehicle driver while crossing the customs port.
