Ministry of Commerce defames a violator for marketing and selling fraudulent products through Snapchat


The Ministry of Commerce in Saudi Arabia defames a citizen for violating his snapchat account to sell and market fraudulent and counterfeit products (women's shoes and bags), after the issuance of a final court ruling convicting him for violating the anti-commercial fraud system and the trademark system. The Ministry said the tools used in counterfeiting the registered trademarks were also seized including the fraudulent products after an inspection was carried out on the violator's headquarters at the time, in cooperation and coordination with the joint security campaigns in the Riyadh region and the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property. - The Ministry published the ruling issued by the Court of Appeal in Riyadh, which includes imposing a fine of 50,000 riyals, seizing tools and products used in the crime and defaming the publication of the ruling in a newspaper at the expense of the violator.





- The Ministry of Commerce had caught the citizen marketing fake and counterfeit women's products through his Snapchat account and delivering them to buyers via luxury cars.
