The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor affairs in Saudi Arabia, Eng. Faisal Al-Dufayan explained that a worker's absence for 15 continuous days or 30 separate days after the warning turns his status into Absent From Work. During an interview on "From Saudi Arabia" program on a Saudi channel, Al-Dufayan said that in this case, the employee will be given 60-days to move to another employer or to request a final exit.

- Al-Dufayan highlighted that the employer can terminate the contractual relationship with the worker through Qiwa platform, where the employer submits the termination and then the connect with the company is immediately disengaged, and the work status becomes discontinued from work. - He pointed out that in case of termination of the contractual relationship, both parties can claim their dues through a 'Wadi' system.

- He added that, if the employer has rights over the worker within the framework of contractual relationship, he submits his request through a friendly system, while if he has rights outside the framework of the contractual relationship, he can submit to the competent authorities.
