Extension of Visit visa can be done 7 days before its expiry

Jawazat said that Saudi visit visa for individuals can be extended through the host's account on Absher platform, seven days before the expiry of visit visa validity, stating that the visitor must have medical insurance as per the specific conditions for the service to complete the extension procedure. - Saudi Jawazat highlighted that the instructions require that the total extension of single visit visa must not be exceed 180 days (6 months) and a fine for delaying the extension of visit visa would be applied after 3 days of the expiry of visit visa.
- Earlier this, the Saudi passports department confirmed that, converting a visit visa into a residential visa or iqama is not possible. It is only possible in case of children and their parents hold residential visa of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- In order to renew or extend the single visit visa from the host's absher account, his or her account must be free of traffic violations.
- The Saudi Jawazat also confirmed that the expiration of host's iqama also does not create any issue for the visit visa extension through Absher.
