The Ministry of Human Resources calls on companies to issue mandatory Work regulations via Qiwa
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in Saudi Arabia called on all companies to follow the policy of issuing labor regulations through the Qiwa platform, through the regulations approval service. Join Saudi Expatriates on imo channel
The labor policies service aims to regulate the work environment of companies by adopting the internal work regulations between the worker and employer, in which detail is written about vacations, violations, job benefits and other procedures that are not mentioned in the employment contract. This is to reduce labor disputes which may arise between the worker and his company, so that each of them is aware of their rights, obligations and duties. - The Ministry confirmed that there are 2 types of work organization regulations.
1. Standard Labor Policy : For companies that have 49 or less workers, where there is unified model of the work organization regulation, which do not require approvals and can be issued and approved immediately through Qiwa platform.
- Here companies can make simple amendments to the regulations like number of vacation days, used calendar (Hijri or Gregorian), working days, weekly rest days and follow up the required steps until approved and are issued an electronic certificate.
2. Customized Labor Policy : For companies that have 50 or more workers, where the establishments may included the customized regulations additional terms, conditions and provisions like the system of bonuses, annual increments, violations or any other provisions in a manner that does not conflict with the provisions of the Saudi Labor Law and its executive regulations and the decisions issued in implementation thereof. - The assigned regulation is reviewed by law firms accredited by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, to ensure that it is free of any conflict with the provisions of the Saudi Labor Law, its executive regulations and the decisions issued in implementation thereof and then ratify the policy and submit it to the Ministry for approval as per the procedures followed for that.
