- The authority highlighted that the requirement to obtain a valid professional driver's card includes all heavy transport drivers individuals and establishments in the activity of transporting goods, with the aim of strengthening the aspect of the governance in the sector, eliminating the phenomenon of concealment, enhancing safety requirements in transport operations, supporting regulatory efforts and raising the levels of quality and compliance with the transport operations.

- The decision comes in line with the objectives of the National Strategy of Transport and Logistics aims to allow and develop the logistics sector, achieve its goals and raise its level of competitiveness to contribute in achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and to become a global logistics center.

- The Transport General Authority explained that drivers can issue a professional driver card through the online transportation portal (naql.com), it is also possible to contact the TGA on the unified number 19929 for further inquiries or participation in observations and suggestions.
