The deputy for Capacity Development and Future Jobs at the Ministry of Communications of Saudi Arabia, Eng. Faris Al-Saqabi said that, the economies of the future are based on the programmers, stating that in the year 2030 the demand for them will increase worldwide. This comes from Al-Saqabi, during his interview with the 9th Bulletin program on Al-Ekhbariya channel, while talking about future jobs, the discussion was about emerging and new technologies, as the whole world knows these skills required for new jobs.

- The Ministry worked through the national version of the competition, to develop the skills of programmers and practicing developers, to improve their creative and intellectual skills in programming and teamwork, and develop their ability to innovate to solve problems using logic, planning and analysis, in addition to raising them to better levels, allowing them to be qualified in the two versions. The African, Arab and International Competition and their superiority over their peers.
- The King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) team qualified to participate in the International Programming Competition (IPC) 2023, which is to be held in Sharm El-Sheikh in Egypt in November 2023, with the participation of thousands of students and faculties from about 2000 universities from more than 80 countries.
- The qualification of KFUPM team comes 1 out of 121 participating teams, representing Arab and African Universities qualified at national level, as the Saudi Arabia's participation. Which is the first of its kind in the African and Arab competition for university youth, came with 12 teams, including 36 male and female students from the country. - These students representing 6 national universities, King Abdulaziz University, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, University of Hafr Al-Batin, Majmaah University, King Khalid University, King Saud University. Collegiate Programming Contest, which was organized by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in partnership with a number of educational and related agencies.
- The teams participating in this competition, which was hosted by the city of Sharm El-Sheikh, over the past 3 days, competed to create and program digital solutions to challenges posed to them in the form of questions by the jury, as the teams worked to find quick and successful solutions to the challenges facing many sectors.
