Environmental Security sets fines for Setting fire in Protected areas and hunting violations


The Environmental Security Forces in Saudi Arabia confirmed that setting fire in vegetation lands, or in places other than the designated places in the Kingdom is an environmental violation, and the authority set the penalties for violating it. The Environmental Security Special Forces through its official Twitter handle announced the penalty for setting fire or lit it in protected areas is a fine of up to 20,000 riyals.

- While the fine for setting fires in vegetation lands of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is up to 3,000 riyals, as per Environmental Security Forces. See Also : Fine for cutting, uprooting, transporting, destroying or trading a tree without permit

- The Special Forces for Environmental Security also set the penalties for violating hunting licenses, places and times.

- The penalty for violating hunting without a license is 10,000 riyals, while the penalty for not owning a wild hunting license is 10,000 riyals.





- The authority also confirmed the penalty of 5,000 riyals for hunting in seasons and times in which wild hunting is prohibited and the penalty for hunting in places where wild hunting is prohibited is also 5,000 riyals.

- The Special Forces for Environmental Security highlighted that destroying or damaging eggs, nests or habitus of wild fungal organisms, their fine reaches no more than 1 million riyals and the value of the violation is estimated as per the severity of the violation, as set by the council. - All the citizens and residents are request to report any cases of assault on the environment or wildlife at 911 in the regions of Makkah, Riyadh and Eastern Province, 999 and 996 for the rest of the regions of the Kingdom.
