Iqama renewals and Re-Entry visa extension fees doubled for Expats outside Saudi Arabia
The Council of Ministers in Saudi Arabia approved a new amendment, in which the fees for the extension of exit re-entry visas and iqama (resident id) renewals is doubled, in case of the expatriates who are outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Join Saudi Expatriates Whatsapp group for more updates
The new amendment specifies that,
1. Single Exit Re-Entry visa fee is 200 Saudi Riyals for a duration of 2 months and 100 Saudi Riyals for each additional month, in case the resident expats is in Saudi Arabia.
* If the resident expat is outside Saudi Arabia, then the fee for extension of the exit re-entry visa will be doubled, which will be 200 SR for one month. Read : Saudi Iqama fee for Expats, dependents and domestic workers
2. Similarly, the fee for multiple entry visa is 500 Saudi Riyals for 3 months and 200 SR for an additional month, in case the resident expat is in Saudi Arabia.
* If the resident expatriate wants to extend multiple entry visa for a month, while he is outside Saudi Arabia, the fee will be doubled, and it will be 400 SR for the extension of entry visa for 1 month.
The Saudi Cabinet also approved an amendment to the Residency Law covering the renewal permits of Iqama for companions of expatriates and domestic workers.
* As per the new amendment, the fee for iqama renewal when the expat worker is outside Saudi Arabia will be doubled of what they are paying within the Saudi Arabia through online portal of the Ministry of Interior. See Also : Exit Re-Entry visa rules, conditions and fees in Saudi Arabia
- The Council of Ministers also approved the amendments of Residency and Travel Documents systems that allows Saudi citizens to issue a passport within 24 hours.
- As per the report of Saudi Gazette, the Saudi Cabinet agreed to add a paragraph to the Article 12 of the Travel Documents Law that allows the issuance and renewal of a passport for Saudi Nationals within 24 hours for a fee of 500 Saudi Riyals.
