Saudi Public Prosecution investigates an Expat impersonating as a health practitioner


The Public Prosecution in Saudi Arabia stated that its department for assaulting persons has initiated an investigation into charges against an expat who impersonated as a health practitioner, in violation of the provision of the Law of Practicing Healthcare Professions. In investigations, it is confirmed that the man posted a false medical information through social media and delivered a lecture in a hotel on the basis of his claim.

- The man claimed that, he is providing medical consultations however, he does neither have any academic qualification in the medical specialty nor possess any legal document to practice from the competent authorities. - The investigation has revealed that, he is not authorized to perform health practices or to provide a medical opinion to patients.





- The Public Prosecution highlighted its keenness to protect society from such illegal medical practices, and protect public health and safety of individuals, as per the provisions of Law of Practicing Healthcare Professions.
