Saudi Public Prosecution revealed the Penalty on Adulterated product or fraud product in Kingdom
The Public Prosecution in Saudi Arabia revealed the penalties for fraud in products or adulterated products, stating that a fraudulent product is every product that has undergone a change that has lost something of its material or moral value. Follow Saudi Expatriates News at Google News
The Saudi Public Prosecution through its official Twitter handle said that, adulterated product is every product that has undergone a change or lost something of its material or moral value, in itself, nature, gender, type, shape, elements, characteristics, requirements, source or value, whether in weight, measure, size or number, energy, caliber or out of specification.
- The Public Prosecution stated that, anyone who attempts to cheat shall be punished with up to three years of jail term and a fine of up to one million riyals, according to the Commercial Anti-Fraud Law. Read : Private Life is one of the protected rights in Saudi Arabia
- The authority further said that, If the act of cheating or the attempt to do so is associated with the use of counterfeit or different scales, measures, stamps or other testing machines, or with the use of methods that can make the process of weighing.
- The Public Prosecution continued and said, the process of measuring or examining the product incorrect, or the adulterated product or materials used in its adulteration are harmful to the health of humans or animals, the owner of such violation will be punished with a fine and imprisonment.
