Qiwa is the approved platform for documenting Employment contracts in Saudi Arabia
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) in Saudi Arabia announced that the approval and documentation of employment contracts for Saudi nationals and non-Saudis (expatriates) is through Qiwa platform. This comes in implementation of Council of Minister's decision specifying that the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development manage the contractual relationship between the worker (Saudi or Expatriate) and employer, starting from the date of registration of contract until the end of contractual relationship. - Once the employment contract is documented through Qiwa platform, the data will be automatically synchronized with the public institution of social insurance.
- The Ministry of Human Resources, by requiring that contracts be documented online, through Qiwa platform, aims to provide protection for both parties (Workers and Employers) to the labor contractual relationship, raise levels of compliance with the salary payments and increase the attractiveness of Saudi Labor market.
- The MHRSD is working with all the relevant government departments to ease the journey of registering workers, documenting and implementing work contracts in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice and registering employees in the GOSI (General Organization for Social Insurance), through the unified platform for the business sector Qiwa.
