Saudi Arabia regrets the decision of Afghan government to deny girls the right of Education
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Saudi Arabia on 21st December 2022 expressed the surprise and regret at the decision of the Afghan caretaker government to prevent Afghan girls from having the right to University education.
The Ministry called on the Kingdom to reserve this decision, which raises astonishment in all Islamic countries and contradicts giving Afghan women their full legal rights, foremost of which is the right to education, which contributes to supporting security, stability, development and prosperity for Afghanistan and its brotherly people.

Afghanistan caretaker government decision :
"You all are informed to immediately implement the mentioned order of suspending education for females until further notice", the Minister of Higher Education Neda Mohammad Nadeem said in a letter issued to all government and private universities in Afghanistan.
- This ban on higher education comes in less than 3 months after thousands of girls and women sat for university entrance exams across the country, with many aspiring to choose teaching and medicine as their future careers. Currently the universities are on winter break and due to reopen in March.
Pakistan urges Afghan government to reconsider its decision on suspension of University education for female students :

- The Pakistani Foreign Ministry said in a statement that, Pakistan was disappointed when it learned about the suspension of university and higher education for female students in Afghanistan.
