Implementation of Saudization decision of Customer Service professions and Legal professions - MHRSD
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) in Saudi Arabia announced the start of implementation of the decisions of Saudization of 'Customer Service' professions and the second phase of the the decision of Saudization of 'legal professions' all over the Kingdom.
This comes after the end of the grace period specified for the decision of Saudization of these professions, and in continuation of the Ministry's efforts aimed at providing a stimulating and productive work environment for Saudi citizens, to increase their level of participation in the Saudi labor market and to improve their contribution in the economic system, as per the Saudi Vision 2030.
- According to the MHRSD, the decision includes the localization of Customer Service Professions by 100%, in companies that provide customer service as a main or supportive activity, or by outsourcing this service to another party to serve their customers through means of communication, including leadership and supervisory professions. - While the 2nd phase of Saudization of "Legal Professions" will be by 70% of the total number of workers with legal consulting profession in the company. This phase of the decision targets all companies, law firms and legal advisory offices all over Saudi Arabia, in which legal advisory work.
- This include the professions of legal advisor for public systems, a legal advisor of private systems, a contract specialist and a clerk of legal affairs and the minimum salary will be 5,500 riyals for bachelor degree holders. The Ministry also explained that the first phase of the decision was a 50% Saudization rate.
- The Ministry to provide a package of incentives and support related to supporting private sector companies to help them in hiring Saudi nationals, including support for the recruitment process and the search for suitable workers, support for the necessary training and qualification process, assistance in the process of employment and job stability for citizens, in addition to the priority of benefitting from all Saudization support programs available in the system and support in employment programs through HRDF (Human Resources Development Fund). - The Ministry has issued a guide that explains the details of these two decisions and the procedure of their implementation. The ministry highlighted the need for companies to follow and abide by the provisions of these decisions, in order to avoid the statuary penalties that will be applied against violators.
