Automatic monitoring of Specialized and Educational bus violations from 1st February
The Transport General Authority (TGA) in Saudi Arabia, in cooperation with the advanced traffic safety project, announced the launch of the project of automated monitoring services for violations of specialized transport and educational transport buses. The automatic monitoring will contribute to verify the regularity and quality of buses and maintaining and enhancing public safety, starting from the 1st February 2023.

The TGA authority explained that the automated monitoring will contribute in the following.
* Maintaining public safety and enhancing traffic safety.
* Ensuring that the technical requirements of buses are applied.
* Achieving quality and compliance for specialized bus transportation and educational transportation.
* Facilitating carbon emissions from buses.
The violations that will be monitored by specialized buses and educational transport are
1. Operating a bus without operating card.

3. Using the bus in the activity for a period exceeding the approved operational life.
