Companies who delays paying salaries to workers are violating Law - MHRSD


The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) in Saudi Arabia restated that, companies who are delaying the salaries of the workers are violating the Saudi Labor Law. Similar : Labor Law rejects discrimination in employment







The Ministry called on Saudi nationals and resident expatriates to submit a complaint about violations of the Saudi Labor Law through its unified application.

The HR Ministry in response to a citizen inquiry, clarified that delaying monthly salaries might reach 10th day of the month, wondering about the inspection campaigns of such establishments. See Also : A worker has right to complain, if the salary differs from the employment contract

- Earlier, the Ministry stated that the month of January of each year is considered as the date for self-evaluation of the company. The ministry highlighted the necessity of self-evaluation, as it has important role in helping companies to identify their compliance with the regulations and rules and to self-correct the mistakes and errors.





- The self-evaluation is also set as a requirement for benefitting from the Ministry of Human Resources electronic services.

- The MHRSD called on all the giant, large and medium sized companies to register in the self-evaluation program and complete the evaluation online through the Ministry website. Read : Approval of Employer and worker must to modify work contract in Qiwa

- The Ministry further clarified that, companies will not be imposed with any financial penalties in the self-evaluation stage, if the results were not good.
