The General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) in Saudi Arabia stated that employers are proactively provided with the registration service for expat (non-Saudi) contributors as soon as the contributor enters the Kingdom, highlighting the significance of employers taking the initiative to complete the procedures by entering actual wage or salary data through e-services. In order to protect the rights of both parties to the contractual relationship (the contributor and the employer), registering the contributor as per the actual wage (salary) is necessary. If the employer does not follow the proper steps and determine the actual wage, the system will calculate the contributor's wage automatically based on the average wage, approved for businesses starting from February 1st, 2023.
