A new feature on WhatsApp to allow the application to continue even if Internet disrupted
The WhatsApp application now has a new capability that allows it to function normally through proxy servers, even if there is an internet outage. This feature is released on 5th January 2023 globally. See Also : Iqama medical test procedure in Saudi Arabia
Proxy servers are intermediate gateways between the users and web servers that allow them to connect to the internet, if communication routes and traditional servers are closed or cut off. The feature of 'Proxy support for WhatsApp' can be used to connect to WhatsApp through servers set up by the volunteers and organizations around the world, in order to help people communicate freely. WhatsApp users can now use this service, using the application settings, where they can enter the name of proxy server and use it to access the internet. The WhatsApp platform said it maintains WhatsApp's level of security and the messages will still be end to end encrypted, so the messages you sent stay between you and the person you are communicating with.
Procedure to use Proxy servers in WhatsApp application :
1. Go to the WhatsApp settings.
2. Click on "Storage and Data" and then "Proxy".
3. Enable Use Proxy and enter the proxy server address. Read : Ramadan is likely to begin from 23rd March in Saudi Arabia
4. By this setting, WhatsApp application will provide the necessary connection between the user and the website or service they wish to access.
