2-women rescued from rubble after 122 hours in Turkey, Over 24,000 deaths reported
Relief teams in Turkey succeeded in rescuing two women, from under the rubble, after 122 hours of destructive earthquake that hits the country at early morning of Monday (5th February 2023). Most Viewed : New Law on Rights and Care of Elderly in Saudi Arabia
The Turkish Civil Defense authorities were able to extract a 55-year old women named Musallah Cicket from Kahramanmara, and another women of 70 year-old Violet Kabak from the same area.
- As of now, the death toll from the destructive earthquake that hit Syria and Turkey has reached to 24,000 people in both countries.
- The Turkish Minister of Health announced that number of earthquake victims in the country had exceeded 20,000 deaths as of Friday evening. Recommend : Third Saudi Relief Plane to help victims in Turkey and Syria
- Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia sent its 6th Relief Plane from Riyadh, carrying 98 tons of Relief Aid, it includes food, tents, blankets, rugs and shelter bags, including medical supplies.
- This comes in line with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. This is within the framework of Saudi Relief Bridge, which is run by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center.
- Earlier this on Friday, Turkish authorities found the missing Saudi citizen in the city of Antakya after she went missing 2 days ago, immediately after earthquake. After receiving the communication from woman's family, the embassy stopped the building in which she lived and wrote to the Turksih authorities until she was found, and she passed away. - Saudi Arabia uses the largest plane in the world to transport equipment and help those affected by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria, which arrived on Friday in Turkey.
