Saudi King and Crown Prince orders for Relief Air bridge to victims of Earthquake in Turkey and Syria
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince, Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman directed the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) to operate a relief air bridge and provide health, shelter, food and logical assistance to reduce the effects of earthquake on the Turkish and Syrian people. The order also asked KSRelief to organize a popular campaign through the "Sahem" platform to help earthquake victims of Syria and Turkey.
- The Saudi King and Crown Prince expressed their sincere condolences and sympathy to Turkey and Syria and their people, specifically the families of the victims. - The King and Crown Prince reconfirmed that Saudi Arabia stands by these two countries in overcome with the humanitarian tragedy. Expressing its solidarity with the two sisterly countries, and ordered to provide support and assitance to these countries in their hour of crisis by sending rescue teams and operating a relief air bridge to dispatch medical and humanitarian aid on an urgent basis.
- As of Today, over 4,300 people have died in Turkey and Syria and the rescuers are racing to bring out survivors from beneath of wreckage after a devastating earthquake in the regions of two countries. In Turkey, more than 2,921 people were killed, while 15,800 injured and in neighboring country Syria, at least 1,451 were killed.
- Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, General Supervisor of the Center and Advisor to the Royal Court, confirmed that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince, are eager to stand by the affected Syrian and Turkish people and reduce the effects of the devastating earthquake that caused losses, damaging to people's lives and property in Turkey and Syria. - He expressed his sincere gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his dependable Crown Prince for their noble and unsurprising stances that come as an extension of the humanitarian role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by standing with the affected and needy in all aspects. He made it clear that under the generous orders, various food, shelter, and medical aid will be provided in support of rescue efforts and relief for the afflicted.
