Turn off the Vehicle engine at stopping to save Fuel, tips while buying a New car
The National Campaign for Energy Consumption (Taqa) in Saudi Arabia said that turning off the vehicle's engine, when stopping for long periods of time is an important factor to save on fuel consumption. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Instagram
The Campaign called for searching for a fuel economy card, when buying a vehicle, as it is ideal guide for the vehicle's fuel efficiency. Stating that, it is an ideal way to compare several types of vehicles from different companies of the same category and choose the best one to save fuel.
- Verify the fuel economy card data is correct or not through app, choose the green level on fuel economy card. Use the manufacturer's recommended engine oil, use maps to reduce and save time and fuel consumption, warm up the car for no more than 30 seconds, avoid loading the car with excess weight, maintain it regularly and avoid frequent acceleration and deceleration. - Buying a new vehicle also depends on several things, including Technologies in the engine, like turbocharging, high speed charging, etc., and technologies in the transmission, in addition to airflow and other technologies that affect vehicle performance, as small engines can give a level of performance similar to that of large engines, under the use of previous techniques.
- The campaign (To Remain) explained the importance of regular periodic vehicle maintenance, as it contributes to extending the vehicle lifespan, and maintaining efficient engine performance, fuel consumption rates within the normal limits for which the vehicle was designed.

- The Taqa also added that, warming up the car for more than 30 seconds leads to, reduce the age default of the car, emissions affecting health and the environment and wastage of fuel.
