Saudi Arabia has removed the necessity for particular professions to issue tourist visas to resident expatriates of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries (UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman), according to an announcement made by Al-Khatib, Today (Thursday).

- Resident Expatriates of GCC nations with 18 years or above, may apply for an electronic tourist visa through the "Visit Saudi" platform as long as their current gulf residence permit is valid for at least 3 months and the passport is valid for at least 6 months at the time of issuing the visa.

- The visa is available in single entry (30 days visa with 3 months validity) and multiple entries (1 year visa, with 90 days stay per trip), it also allows you to visit Saudi Tourism, visit family and friends, recreational activities and perform Umrah for Muslims, the fee for the visa is 300 Saudi Riyals excluding health insurance costs. However, the Tourist visa does not allow its holder to perform Hajj, or to perform Umrah during Hajj season.

1. Visit the e-Visa page at visitsaudi.com/visa and fill out the all required information.

2. Upload the required documents.

3. Pay the Visa fees. (The paid visa fees is non-refundable)
