Congestion and traffic jams affect King Fahd Causeway for the third day in a row
For the third day in a row, there was heavy traffic on the King Fahd Causeway, which connects Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This is because the bridge is now undergoing construction projects in an effort to increase its capacity. Follow Saudi Expatriates channel on imo messenger
Many travelers voiced their displeasure with the chokepoint traffic that bridge users must suffer. The second semester vacation, which is a time of heavy transit to and from Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, is when the congestion occurred.
- The "King Fahd Causeway" hashtag was created by Twitter users to draw attention to the bridge's traffic problems. One of the citizens who participated in the hashtag offered the following suggestion: "I suggest making an application for the bridge in order to enter the dates by offering a tender to companies and a small increase in transit fees, the project is a success and too much for everyone". - While, one of the user further stated, "Is it logical for us to consider travelling from Bahrain to Saudi Arabia? Is it appropriate to perform King Fahd Causeway maintenance during the busiest travel period and during the school holidays?"
- Another person said, "It's been two days and the Saudi Arabia to Bahrain bridge situation is very congested at all times. From what I can tell, the first customs gates and paths are mostly closed, so there are only five or four gates, and this is the reason for the accumulation of cars from the beginning of the bridge."

- The General Corporation for King Fahd Causeway had earlier announced that it had begun repair and expansion work for the procedure areas to boost capacity and had apologized for any traffic irregularities that may occur while the project work was being carried out.
