King Fahd Causeway records the most Passengers ever traveling through it, in its History
The King Fahd Causeway, which connects Saudi Arabia with Bahrain via Sea bridge, has achieved a new milestone by passing the most travelers ever, on 4th March 2023, with a record-breaking 136,000 people used the causeway. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Twitter
On that particular day, 136,498 travelers used the King Fahd Causeway bridge, setting a record that has stood since it was built. This number was higher than the one that was noted on January 11, 2020, when over 131,000 people crossed.

- The beginning of the second semester vacation period coincided with the traffic jams, and customs and passport officers prepared extraordinary preparations and facilities for travelers while maintaining perfect security.
- Despite the enormous number of travelers, the flow of traffic was smooth and the procedures went fast thanks to the opening of reverse lanes on the Saudi side to ease congestion during rush hours.
