Termination of 1,815 Expat teachers in Kuwait and Kuwaitization of several positions
According to direct orders from Dr. Hamad Al-Adwani, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Education announced the termination of the employment of 1,815 teachers (male and female), 209 department heads, and supervisory and educational positions. This is in line with the government's direction and the state's plan to enforce the policy of replacing and empowering national elements based on the Civil Service Council Resolution (No. 11 of 2017) regarding the guidelines and processes for the "Kuwaitization" of government jobs, according to the ministry's official spokesman Ahmed Al-Wahida in a press release issued today, Wednesday.
- Al-Wahida made clear that the minister had directed the necessity of applying the principle of natural justice between regions and educational stages in accordance with the various data when implementing the replacement for teachers and expatriates. - He continued and said this will be applied with the exception of the children of Kuwaiti women, illegal immigrants, and Gulf nationals, and appointing citizens in specializations in which the national aspect is available in order to maintain the needs of educational regions and stages.
- He continued by saying that this pattern will enhance both the stability of the educational sector and the interest in the learning system.
