Banning the fishing of Tarbani fish in the Red Sea - Ministry of Environment in Madina
The fishing of the "Napoleon" tarabani fish along the Red Sea coast in the Kingdom has been banned because it is an endangered species and does not comply with the agricultural system's executive regulations, according to the branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture in the Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah region. The authority added that Napolean tarbani fish should not be caught, traded, or sold by the local fishermen, boat owners, vendors, or anybody else who might humiliate them in the fish markets.
- The branch stated that the ban on fishing for bagh fish from July 1 until October 15 for a period of three and a half months, and the season for banning lobster fishing from October 14 to July 14 for a period of nine months, and by the end of this month, the season for banning the fishing of crucian carp, which started from 1 April for a period of two months, and the continuation of the shrimp fishing ban from April 1 until the end of August for a period of five months. - The ministry branch, for its part, urged fishermen to observe the seasons that forbid aquaculture hunting as well as the agricultural system's executive restrictions. He is exempt from punishment and a monetary penalties in order to protect the sustainability of water supplies.
