Cases of severe punishment in drug crimes in Saudi Arabia
The Public Prosecution (Nayaba Al-Aama) in Saudi Arabia has recognized cases of severe punishment for drug crimes in the Kingdom. See Also : Know the world's most powerful passports
Through its official Twitter account, the Public Prosecution authority declared that drugs are a serious pest that endangers society, security, and health.
- The Saudi Public Prosecution also mentioned that under Article 38 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Control Law, the punishment for the criminal is severe, if they use a minor or take advantage of someone who is responsible for their upbringing or who has actual authority over them to commit their crime. - The Nayaba Al-Aama authority added that the punishment for the criminal is also severe, if he gives a minor access to drugs, sells them to him, or forces him into using them through any form of threat or encouragement.
- Earlier, the Public Prosecution in Saudi Arabia has issued a warning that anyone who visit open drug scenes (ODSs) will get jail sentences.
- Anyone found with knowledge of what is happening while visiting a place that facilitates the use of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances faces a prison sentence. The punishment will be applied to such individuals even if it cannot be established that they are using the drug, according to a statement from the Public Prosecution.
