Implementation of applying Compensation fee for a person with this limit of domestic Workers
The second phase of the Saudi Arabian government's decision to charge a financial fee of 9,600 riyals per year for each additional domestic worker, from those who have more than four domestic worker for Saudi citizens and two domestic workers for foreign nationals, will comes into effect on May 11, 2023, according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD). According to the committee set up to analyze these exclusions, the Ministry did, however, exclude humanitarian cases requesting for more than is allowed, such as those involving people with disabilities, chronic and serious illnesses, and other ailments. - The Ministry announced the first stage's implementation last year, which includes the collection of a fee of 9,600 riyals for each additional domestic worker over 4, while the second stage included (new and existing) domestic workers over 4 for Saudi nationals and 2 for resident expatriates.
