This year, for the first time, Turkey and Ivory Coast joined the list making it to 7 countries, Morocco, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey and Ivory Coast. Recommend : Saudi Arabia to welcome Hajj 2023 international pilgrims through 6 airports
- The "Road to Makkah" initiative seeks to receive Hajj pilgrims and facilitate the completion of their immigration procedures from their home countries, beginning with the electronic issuance of visas and the collection of vital information and continuing through the completion of passport procedures at the airport of the country of departure after confirming the availability of health requirements, as well as coding and sorting luggage in accordance with plans of transportation and lodging in the Kingdom.
- After their arrival, they immediately board buses to carry them to their residing in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, with dedicated tracks, while the service organizations deliver their belongings to their residences. Most Viewed : A simple guide of Hajj pilgrimage
- The initiative is being carried out by the Ministry of Interior in collaboration with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Health, Hajj and Umrah, the General Authority of Civil Aviation, the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority, the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence (Sadaia), the Pilgrims Service Program, and the General Directorate of Passports.
