Hefty penalties for transporting pilgrims without Hajj permits - Saudi Public Security
The General Directorate of Public Security in Saudi Arabia said that, anyone found transporting people without Hajj permits to the holy city of Makkah in violation of the Hajj rules and regulations will be subjected to hey fine. The penalty for those who caught transporting pilgrims without Hajj permits to the Makkah will be subject to jail term for a period of 6 months and a fine of up to 50,000 riyals for each person transported.

- The Public Security highlighted that the punishment for the carrier would include deportation of the expatriate after serving the sentence and paying the fine, as well as the seizure of the vehicle used for transportation based on a court order. For the duration provided by law, entry into the Kingdom will be banned for that expatriate in the future.
- The directorate also urged Saudi citizens and resident expatriates to follow the rules and guidelines for the Hajj and Umrah, and the authority issued a warning against fake Hajj campaigns.
