According to the local media, the Special Forces acted quickly, the lion had been restrained, to neutralize the lion's threat and deliver it to the appropriate wildlife authority.
- It is illegal under the terms of the Environment Law to trade in endangered wild animals, including keeping them in one's custody. Offenders face a maximum punishment of 10 years in prison or a fine of SR30 million, or a combination of the two, according to the Special Forces.
