Dr. Al-Ghamdi through his Twitter account reviewed the 6 reasons for having a sore throat in the early morning, which are list the following.

1. Due to viral or bacterial infections.

2. Sinusitis (A condition in which the cavities around the nasal passages become inflamed. It can come by a cold or allergies and it may resolve by its own.)

4. GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, it occurs when stomach acid repeatedly flows back into the tube connecting your mouth and stomach. Few of the symptoms of it are sore throat, coughing, increased salivation, shortness of breath).

5. Laryngitis, its due to the excessive use of your voice.
