A Fine of up to 900 riyals on a Vehicle driver for this Violation - Saudi Moroor


The General Directorate of Traffic (Moroor) in Saudi Arabia and reconfirmed the need of passengers to sit in the places designated for them in the vehicles, this is for their protection and safety. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Twitter



The Saudi Moroor through its official Twitter handle stated that, passengers sitting in places not designated for them in the vehicle endangers the safety of them and others and this is a traffic violation in the Kingdom.

- According to the Traffic Law, the violation of transporting passengers in places not designated for them in the vehicle requires a minimum fine of 500 riyals. The fine can reaches up to 900 riyals at its highest level as only the traffic separation bodies are able to apply the new traffic law's maximum fine for violations. Recommend : 14 traffic violations in Saudi Arabia for which the fine is not less than 3000 riyals

- Earlier this, Moroor re-announced the importance of knowing the traffic instructions, which are on the roads and this is your guide for safe driving.

- The administration had before advised that it was important to never take your hands off the wheel while you're driving since accidents can happen in a matter of seconds. This statement was made in the framework of such awareness-raising initiatives.

- Previously, the Saudi Moroor issued a warning to drivers to avoid sudden collisions on the road. The authority in context of safe driving called everyone to leave enough distance between the vehicle in front of you, so that you should not have to use the brakes suddenly. - The Traffic administration also said, in case of lack of vision, use warning lights, slow down the vehicle and avoid the pools of water.
