Saudi team to perform surgery on Syrian conjoined twins, Bassam and Ihsan

The operation, which complies with instructions from Saudi Arabia's King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, will be carried out under the direction of Advisor at the Royal Court and Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, the General Supervisor of KSRelief (King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center).

- Al-Rabeeah, who is also in charge of the medical and surgical team, stated in a news release that the procedure will involve 26 doctors, specialists, technical, nursing, and support employees and be completed in five phases over the course of 9.5 hours.

- The Syrian twins, who left Turkey on May 22, according to him, are 32 months old and weigh 19 kg collectively. According to the tests the medical staff performed, the twins are united in the lower chest, belly, liver, and intestines.
