According to the study, those who have breakfast after 9 AM have a 59% higher risk of acquiring type 2 diabetes than those who eat it before 8 AM in the morning.
- Ana Palomar Cruz, a researcher at the Spanish Institute and the study's lead author, claims that although few studies have examined the connection between meal timing or fasting and type 2 diabetes, the timing of breakfast plays a significant role in regulating the circadian rhythm, controlling glucose and fats. - 100,000 participants took part in the study using a questionnaire, recording their food and beverage intake over the course of three separate days, including the times of their meals.
- Despite the fact that 963 new cases of type 2 diabetes were discovered throughout the trial, those who typically ate breakfast after 9 am had a much increased chance of developing the condition.
- According to the researcher's summary of the study's findings, which were published in the International Journal of Epidemiology, having the first meal before 8 AM and the last meal before 7 PM may help lower the risk of type 2 diabetes. - Additionally, the researchers found that eating more frequently, or five times a day, is linked to a lower risk of the condition and that eating dinner after 10 PM appears to raise the chance of acquiring diabetes. According to what was reported on Sky News.
- The study found that if the diet comprised an early breakfast before 8 am and an early dinner as well, extended fasting was advantageous. Most Viewed : Saudi Arabia starts to receive Umrah pilgrims from all over the world in a new Umrah season
