Each employee can avail only one Health Insurance policy from now onwards
Starting from 1st August 2023, each individual beneficiary can only use one basic health insurance policy, according to the Council of Health Insurance (CHI) in Saudi Arabia. See Also : Is it possible to transfer sponsorship, after final exit visa issued?
The Saudi Council of Health Insurance has prevented one person from obtaining more than one basic health insurance policy.
- The council explained in a letter to the Federation of Saudi Chambers that starting on August 1st, it will no longer be possible to purchase two or more insurance policies for a worker or his dependent from one or more insurance providers. - The Health Council in its decision stated that, the renewal of insurance documents and other processes will be carried out accordingly.
Maximum costs of Doctor's Consultation fees, as per the terms of the basic health insurance policy :
1. General Practitioner (Senior Deputy Physician) consultation fee : 100 to 150 riyals
2. Specialist (Second Deputy Physician or Consultant) consultation fee : 200 to 300 riyals.
