Saudi Moroor warns Vehicle drivers and Truck drivers of all these violations


The General Directorate of Traffic (Moroor) in Saudi Arabia warned against using cell phones while driving whether it is for making calls or sending messages or doing something else. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Google News



The Saudi Moroor through its official X (Twitter) handle said that, in order to ensure the safe driving and that the driver of the vehicle reach to his destination safely, he must postpone using mobile phone for calls and sending messages.

- The Traffic administration further stated that, exchanging text messages using WhatsApp or making phone calls while driving on the roads leads to the distraction of the drivers from driving and it may expose them to the dangers of accidents.

- The Saudi Moroor added that, failing to give priority to pedestrians while crossing the lanes designated to them, will result in a fine of range 100 to 150 riyals.

- The authority said that, pedestrians have priority over traffic in places designated for their safety.

- Previously, Saudi Moroor warned drivers against leaving the steering wheel while driving for any reason.

Truck ban time from entering into Riyadh :

The General Traffic Department in Riyadh has set times for preventing trucks form entering into Riyadh, which will be applied at specific times throughout the week. While on Friday and Saturdy it differ from the rest of the days of the week.

* General ban on all trucks except service trucks from 2 PM to 2 AM.

* Special ban on service trucks from 4 PM to 10 PM.

Sunday to Thursday :

* General ban on all trucks except service trucks from 6 AM to 11 PM.

* Special ban for service trucks from 6 AM to 9 AM.
