Is it possible to change the Profession of Private Driver to Domestic Worker? Jawazat response
The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia has received an inquiry through its official X (Twitter) handle asking, "Is it possible to change the profession from a Private Driver to a domestic worker with the same sponsor?". Where do snow falls in Saudi Arabia?
Saudi Jawazat in its response clarified that, Peace be Upon you, instructions do not allow changing the profession of a private driver to a domestic worker under the same sponsor, We are happy to help you.
These are the 7 conditions for transferring domestic worker services from one employer to another :
1. The current employer waived the services of the domestic worker through Absher platform.
2. The approval of the domestic worker and the new employer to request to transfer of services through Absher within 7 days. See Also : Cost of transferring domestic worker services
3. The record of the new employer and the domestic worker must be free of traffic violations.
4. The domestic worker should not be in Huroob or Absent From Work in the system.
5. The maximum number of transfers for domestic worker services is only 4 times.
6. It is required that there be 15 days or more in the residence permit (iqama) of the domestic worker upon assignment.
